Helps to conduct New Employee Orientation safety training and facilitating compliance-based and job-specific safety training
Participates in pre-shift safety meetings on rotational basis
Performs various inspection techniques related to general industry and food manufacturing to continuously improve workplace conditions and behaviors, including inspection and maintenance of critical safety signage
Monitors compliance with pre-use inspection processes while ensuring accountability for safety through tracking corrective actions, safety work orders, and review of completed permits
Performs data entry tasks for web-based incident reporting and metrics
Actively participates in the audit and supports the corrective actions to the annual Corporate MAPP Audit
Leads and supports participation for safety teams and projects to increase engagement in safety initiatives plant-wide
Helps with initial employee injury/incident triage as needed and assists departments with incident investigation process, root cause analysis and corrective actions for all injuries, near-miss incidents, property, and environmental losses
Coordinates and facilitates required annual safety training for the plant
Helps to support site-specific emergency response plan
Job Requirements
Be able to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts
Familiarity with safety processes and programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Action oriented and the capacity to drive for results
Process improvement mindset
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of one year of progressive work experience in an industrial setting, preferably in the food industry
