Position Purpose:

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Data Analytics product team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of project management, technical acumen as well as the ability to understand and translate business needs to development requirements, As a key member of the team, the Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, customers, and Engineering teams to define business requirements, conduct analysis, and deliver clear requirements to engineering. 

Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their business needs, objectives, and requirements for new or enhanced systems. 

Analysis and Documentation: Analyzing existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Documenting requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to guide development teams. 

Solution Design: Translating business requirements into technical solutions by designing system features, data models, and process flows. Collaborating with architects and developers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards. 

System Testing and Validation: Developing test plans and scenarios to validate that implemented solutions meet business requirements. Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitating feedback sessions to refine the system. 

Change Management: Assisting in managing changes to systems, processes, and workflows by assessing impacts, communicating with stakeholders, and facilitating training content with training teams.

Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and issues associated with proposed solutions or changes. Working with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans. 

Communication and Collaboration: Serving as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and other relevant departments to ensure clear communication and alignment of priorities. 

Continuous Improvement: Monitoring system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for enhancements and optimizations. Proposing and prioritizing improvement initiatives based on business value and feasibility. 

Requirements:

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field is often required. 

Technical Skills: Proficiency in various technical areas such as systems analysis, data modeling, software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum), Familiar with; .NET Aspire, TypeScript, Vue, Auth0, CosmosDB - App DB, Data Lake - Customer Data, Synapse, Phyton - Data Transformation 

Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes, workflows, and objectives across different functional areas. Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate them into technical solutions. Experience with Vendor Management Systems, Human Capital Management, Extended Workforce would advantageous. 

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively assess complex systems, identify root causes of issues, and propose practical solutions. Experience with techniques such as requirements elicitation, process modeling, and gap analysis is valuable. 

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audiences is particularly important. 

Project Management: Basic project management skills to manage tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines within project constraints. Experience with project management tools and methodologies would advantageous. 

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Business Systems Analysts often interact with diverse stakeholders, including business users, IT professionals, and management, so the ability to build relationships and foster cooperation is crucial. 

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in documenting requirements, analyzing data, and validating system functionality. 

Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and evolving technologies.
