Job Description Summary

The Department of Pediatrics is currently recruiting for a Psychometrist in their Developmental Pediatric Division. This individual will be responsible for administration and scoring of standardized tests for psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments conducted by faculty psychologists, including such measures as the WISC-IV, DAS-II, WJ-III, and others.

Job Description

Job Summary:

Training and ongoing supervision in test administration and scoring will be provided. The position also will involve administration of psychometric tests according to various research protocols, assistance with training incoming interns and part-time psychometrists, and administrative support related to faculty psychologists’ clinical and research activities. The psychometrist position will provide exposure to a wide variety of pediatric populations, and supervision by licensed psychologists.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4

Job Duties:

20% - Administers psychometric tests according to standardized procedures for psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations. Scores psychometric test results according to national norms. - (Essential)

20% - Establishes rapport with patients during psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations and elicits patients’ best performance. Makes clinical observations of behavior while testing patients. - (Essential)

20% - Enters test results/scores in report templates of faculty psychologists. Enters score description ranges in report templates of faculty psychologists. - (Essential)

20% - Manages incoming patient packets. Scores behavior rating scales for faculty physicians and psychologists. - (Essential)

20% - Assists with the training of psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and part-time psychometrists in the standardized administration of psychometric tests. Assists with the training of psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and part-time psychometrists in the scoring of psychometric test results according to national norms. - (Essential)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
