We're looking for a true leader that can be an active participant in the team's strategic objectives and policies, one who continues to monitor the progress toward achieving said objectives and policies, and managing that up to ensure relevant parties are aware of consistent growth.

Responsibilities

  • Trains and supervises media planning group, while providing any additional needed support to all engagement professionals in all media.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines to develop strategic and sound direction from a media perspective.
  • Supervises the execution of media plans.
  • Provides assistance, where necessary, to assure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintains quality control of all group projects.
  • Prepare and execute special Discipline assignments requested by management.
  • Oversees the progress of all projects.
  • Encourages individual initiative and observes personal abilities and growth potential.
  • Helps to create and adhere to policies for day-to-day operations of the discipline.
  • Conducts majority of the performance evaluations of the group.
  • Thinks strategically about the business, developing business-building opportunities for clients and internal initiatives.
  • Keeps team informed of important issues in the group.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of channel experience required
  • Communicates clearly to others, written and verbally
  • Strong knowledge of traditional media channels as well as digital and SEM
  • Ability to think critically and apply a strategic approach to all plans or projects
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Brand Leadership, Strategy, Project Management and Finance
  • Displays a passion for media and advertising
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills (including basic media math)
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver work on-time for set deadlines
  • Must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions
  • Experience with Simmons, Telmar, Kantar, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, DoubleClick and other media software tools
