Cloud Project Manager

Our cloud solutions are enablers of the digital transformation for business and our normal life. One of the enabling technologies for the digital transformation is cloud computing, this will enable a completely other way of working for the business.

To support this, NXP-IT formed a Cloud Center of Excellence (Cloud CoE) reporting directly into the CIO. The Cloud CoE’s goal is to enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of cloud across the enterprise (both business and IT) - maximizing the ability to realize its benefits while reducing risk. This team is recognized as the industry leading Cloud Center of Excellence for the high-tech industry.

The Cloud CoE is responsible for defining Strategy and policy for cloud computing, driving, and implementing cloud services and platforms, running proof of concepts, piloting emerging cloud technologies (e.g. GenAI, Machine Learning) and supporting business-initiatives in adapting cloud technologies (including organizational change)

As Cloud Project Manager you are challenged to lead projects and EPICS in our teams and work closely with other IT teams, IT-service provider, IT PMO team, and our business partners. You are continuously looking to optimize and mature the project execution and the agile way of working. The ideal candidate has track-record in leading agile (project) teams working in high-tech environments as well solid understanding of cloud computing, technology systems and migrations. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.

This role in based in Bangalore

• Your Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Execution
• Converting high level roadmap milestones to PI planning goals to product/sprint backlog
• Planning, Driving, Executing, Tracking, following-up and reporting on dedicated tracks until closure.
• Resource Management:
• Identifying the resources needed to execute/deliver the project on time with right quality and well within the costs taken into account that we have both dedicated resources and product teams.
• Risk Management
• Identifying potential risks and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Do qualitative and quantitative analysis of risk, make assessment which helps in right prioritization of the risks.
• Maintain risk register and keep it updated always.
• Stakeholder Management
• Communicate with stakeholders, eliminate/escalate impediments, management dependencies.
• Tracking the implementation/progress against plan and reporting to audiences in different forums with right content and details.
• Communication Management/Collaboration:
• Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
• Facilitate and improves way of working between Cloud CoE and its partners. 
• Find the right balance between SAFe and “project management”
• Align with NXP IT PMO function to understand the Best Practices, new standards so that Ways of working are in harmony with NXP IT PMO and with other IT teams
• Be evangelist of Cloud computing and its way of working to the rest of NXP
• Actively participate in communities / forums / guilds on Cloud computing (both external and internal to NXP)

Our team

• The Cloud CoE is a team of dedicated and passionate IT professionals. The team is around 30 people which are in Eindhoven the Netherlands and in Bangalore, India
• The Cloud CoE consists of Cloud platform team including enabling role and Cloud Data platform team including enabling role.

Your profile

We are looking for a Cloud Operations manager with the following characteristics:

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering with 12+ years of working experience in complex IT environment
• Proven experience in managing (project) teams in the agile way of working ( > 5 years)
• Knowledge of the DevSecOps culture and principles
• Proven track-record as Project manager managing complex IT landscape in global enterprises
• Have worked in High Tech industry or R&D environments
• Proven track-record in agile ITIL
• Have experience in managing external IT service provider
• You can build and bond team of multi-disciplinary competence reporting into different organization
• You are a process-oriented, creative, analytical, open-minded and transparent on own work
• You have technical background and affinity with R&D
• PMP certification with CSM or SAFe Scrum Master certification would be added advantage
• Knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles.

• Have strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Are organized, efficient, and results-driven
• Have a technical background, be creative, analytical, open-minded and transparent on own work
• Are eager to learn and not afraid to take initiative. You know how to learn from failure
• Have great English communication skills, both verbally as in writing
