Cloud Operations Manager

Our cloud solutions are enablers of the digital transformation for business and our normal life. One of the enabling technologies for the digital transformation is cloud computing, this will enable a completely other way of working for the business.

To support this, NXP-IT formed a Cloud Center of Excellence (Cloud CoE) reporting directly into the CIO. The Cloud CoE’s goal is to enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of cloud across the enterprise (both business and IT) - maximizing the ability to realize its benefits while reducing risk. This team is recognized as the industry leading Cloud Center of Excellence for the high-tech industry.

The Cloud CoE is responsible for defining Strategy and policy for cloud computing, driving, and implementing cloud services and platforms, running proof of concepts, piloting emerging cloud technologies (e.g. GenAI, Machine Learning) and supporting business-initiatives in adapting cloud technologies (including the organizational change).

As Cloud Operations Manager you are challenged to collaborate closely with our business partners and IT-service provider, to continuously optimize our operational performance while supporting the agile way of working.

This role in based in Bangalore

• Your Responsibilities
• Driving relentless improvements on Cloud CoE services ( e.g. security , availability, performance)
• Communicate with stakeholders, eliminate/escalate impediments, help manage risk,
• Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage the Cloud service providers from operational / tactical perspective
• aspect like delivery, finance, compliancy, SoX
• Reporting on the Cloud (data) platform services to the business stakeholders
• Organises processes and WoW with Cloud consumers and TCS with respect to services
• Find the right balance between SAFe and “agile ITIL”
• Facilitate and improves way of working between Cloud CoE and its partners
• Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities 
• Active member of the NXP-IT Service management team
• Be evangelist of Cloud computing and its way of working to the rest of NXP

The Cloud CoE is a team of dedicated and passionate IT professionals. The team is located both in Eindhoven, The Netherlands), and in Bangalore, India.

Your profile

We are looking for a Cloud Operations manager with the following characteristics:

• Graduated from University or having equal professional experience
• Proven track-record as Operational manager managing complex IT landscape in global enterprises
• Have worked in High Tech industry or R&D environments
• Proven track-record in agile ITIL
• Understand business requirements and be able to translate these in operational value based KPI’s
• Have experience in managing external IT service provider
• You can build and bond team of multi-disciplinary competence reporting into different organization
• Knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles.

Furthermore you:

• Have strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Are organized, efficient, and results-driven
• Have a technical background, be creative, analytical, open-minded and transparent on own work
• Are eager to learn and not afraid to take initiative. You know how to learn from failure
• Have great English communication skills, both verbally as in writing
