Job Summary

Ensures that all relevant grant requirements are met with fidelity at the school-level. Recruit and market, develop reports, manage renovations, plan, and implement the Magnet School Assistance Program (MSAP) budget, keep accurate records, and communicate effectively with families and partners.

Primary Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesList, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential and position specific duties/tasks performed by the position. This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required. Essential Duty 1:

Ensure all requirements specified by the federal grant priorities are effectively monitored and accomplished utilizing consistent use of discretion and judgment in its performance.

Essential Duty 2:

Communicate effectively with grant participants, partners, and district personnel.

Essential Duty 3:

Maintain accurate records of attendance for project events and participant progress. Collect all audit documentation and work closely with the MSAP independent evaluator and the comprehensive school reform model to prepare required audit reports.

Position Specific Responsibility 1:

Plan and administer the school-level grant budget under the direction of the Director; maintain a spreadsheet of expenditures and audit file of all grant activities.

Position Specific Responsibility 2:

Develop and prepare interim and end of year reports in collaboration with the independent evaluator and Director.

Position Specific Responsibility 3:

Serve as the school-level point of contact for marketing and recruiting efforts.

Position Specific Responsibility 4:

Work with the Project Director, School-based Curriculum Specialist, District Marketing Coordinator, and other district staff to implement the MSAP program 

Position Specific Responsibility 5:

Order Magnet School equipment, materials and supplies as awarded in the grant and ensure that items are put in use in a timely manner

Other Responsibilities:

Performs other duties or tasks as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities in this job classification.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education (training/degree):

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field required. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field preferred.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required:

None required.

Experience:

Three (3) to five (5) years’ applicable experience in business, non-profits, marketing, or education. Experience or knowledge of project management, grants, budgets, site-based leadership, or other management positions is required. Experience managing a long-term project in an educational or non-profit setting is preferred.

Meal Deduction – Most Bransford office and district level employee have a meal deduction. They are scheduled 8.5 hours per day and get an hour lunch. Itinerants and retirees get a 30 minute lunch period and therefore do not have a meal deduction. All school based employees will not have a meal deduction. Auto Meal Deduction

Travel – Itinerant non-exempt employees who travel will be using the time clock differently than others and are paid for travel time between work locations. Employee does not or seldom travels
