Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Common Access Platform (JCAP). The successful candidate will serve at the Fort Meade Maryland site. This position is contingent upon award.

The Systems Engineer will support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions. Translates customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• 8+ Years with HS; 6+ Years with AA; 5+ Years with BS; 2+ Years with MS; 0+ Years with PhD
• Candidates with Armed Forces, college courses or associate degree, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• High degree of organization and communications skills
• DoD 8570.01M/ IAT‐I certification within 6 months of assignment to position (A+ CE, CCNA Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Master’s Degree in a STEM subject, particularly systems engineering, network engineering, or cybersecurity OR associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering or its equivalent with 15+years' relevant experience
• Expert knowledge in project management and resource management

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
