Job Overview:

The Enterprise Sales team within the LPL Business Development attracts financial enterprises – including financial institutions (banks and credit unions), investment product manufacturers (insurance firms and asset managers), and small broker/dealers – to the firm.

The Vice President, Enterprise Sales Strategy is a key role within the LPL Business Development team, responsible for leading sales strategy, sales enablement, and data intelligence functions with a focus on banks and credit unions (i.e., financial institutions). This role involves providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leaders within LPL, optimizing sales processes, customizing engagement strategies, and developing executive-level content to attract new business to the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leaders for key business decisions related to financial enterprises / institutions
  • Serve as the primary partner on anything institution related to our Strategy, Marketing, and Relationship Management teams
  • Streamline sales pipeline processes, reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to sales consultants to enable pipeline feeding, enhance prospect engagement, and accelerate deal pull-through
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to prospect firms, enabling them to make key decisions related to wealth management businesses
  • Customize engagement strategies for prioritized opportunities
  • Develop executive-level content to drive engagements
  • Design and test new approaches to attract new bank and credit union business to the firm
  • Coach and develop team members on technical and business skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Liberal Arts
  • 7+ years of experience, with 5+ in financial services, banking, strategy, or consulting
  • Reside in or open to relocate to San Diego, CA

Core Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to adapt to different audiences and influence decisions
  • Exceptional analytical skills, leveraging data to deliver actionable insights
  • Positive attitude and desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team

Preferences:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Robust understanding of the financial intermediation space (specifically: banking and insurance)
  • Prior experience in building and empowering highly effective teams

Pay Range:

$149,720-$224,580/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
