More Than a Job

We’re hiring for a Tax Partner in our Saddle Brook, NJ office to help support and service the firm’s tax practice.

The ideal candidate would possess 10+ years’ of experience as well as possess an executive level presence. The ideal candidate is an expert in multiple areas in tax and also has extensive experience in the following areas:

  • Build trusting relationships with clients in order to execute the most effective strategies to help them achieve their goals
  • Oversee the efforts of multiple client service teams on engagements for a variety of clients including executives, partnerships, closely-held businesses, entrepreneurs, etc.
  • Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; market, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget
  • Conduct secondary review of, and have ultimate responsibility for, complex income tax returns including federal and multi-state filings
  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, ensure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Responsible for managing, developing, training, and mentoring Staff on tax projects, and assessing performance for engagement reviews
  • Plan client engagements, provide expert tax consulting services, supervise and review work of staff members
  • Address questions on advanced technical tax matters from team members and upper-level client management
  • Identify tax risk management issues and proposes potential solutions
  • Advanced level tax review and research; review client tax returns and research for final approval
  • Lead meaningful growth efforts through active involvement in the delivery of client service and new client development
  • Work with other Firm wide Tax Partners and other lines of business in order to provide integrated, exceptional client service
  • Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impact on client engagements
  • Direct preparation of federal, multi-state (consolidated and separate), partnership, S-Corp, individual returns, and others as required
  • Complete complex tax planning research assignments with multiple alternatives and presentations to clients
  • Keep up with emerging tax rules and regulations
  • Maintain, develop and expand client relationships
  • Meet with prospective clients and attract them by demonstrating superior tax skills.
  • Act as a mentor to accounting staff, while providing constructive feedback and identifying needs for professional development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Licensed CPA
  • 10+ years’ of experience in a similar role
  • Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication
  • Expert knowledge of applicable tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Engagement, Go File Room, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Taxation
  • Potential to bring in new business or has an existing book of business
