In this role you will use your market awareness and technical knowledge to respond to existing and new client needs, pursue new opportunities, and build office teams of professionals delivering the responsive service that Terracon provides. A background in the transportation sector and previous experience working on transportation related projects with the DOT is required. 

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for partnering with offices to further the development of Terracon’s deep foundation testing services within the South East Division and nationally.
• Oversee and ensure consistent/quality operations and practices of regional teams by providing training, inspections, and monitoring/balancing workload of services related to Pile Driving Analysis (PDA), Cross-hole Sonic Logging (CSL), Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP), Pile Integrity Testing (PIT), among others.
• Monitor the performance of regional teams through site visits, quality audits, and metrics.
• Provide guidance, oversight and expertise on deep foundation testing related pursuits and projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, resource and point of contact to office personnel within the region and division.
• Partner and collaborate with other regional experts to drive uniformity and development of deep foundation testing services across all regions.
• Assist local teams in the execution of growth strategies and actions necessary to achieve the strategic and annual operations plans.
• Responsible for coordinating and partnering with offices on deep foundation testing-related client development and pursuit activities.
• May assist in recruiting/interviewing potential key hires for positions.
• Develop/deliver training in area of expertise to offices in region.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Communicate safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines. Hold employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects

Requirements:

• PDA proficiency of Advanced or higher through PDI.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practiced by the firm or related discipline and a minimum of 8 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years’ related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

• Professional License in area of specialty or discipline.
