1.Use transfer cart to move assembled frame from conveyor to upholstery lift. The upholstery lift (scissor lift) is pneumatically powered and controlled by a foot pedal. 

2.Staple filler material (foam) to the frame with a pneumatic staple gun. 

3.Use scissors to cut excessive filler material from the frame.

4.Use pneumatic staple gun to attach fabric/leather to the frame. The non-trigger hand is used to pull and stretch the fabric/leather to ensure the desired fit.

5. The seams in the upholstered product are smoothed out and tucked by the use of a regulator (ice pick) for a crisp finished appearance.

6. For tufted frames, use button needle to stick buttons and twine through fabric. Pull tight, tie off and staple to back of frame.

7. Excessive fabric is trimmed off around the finished wood portions of the frame with a box cutter (razor blade).

8. Trimmers use pneumatic staple gun to attach plygrip to edges of frame and use the regulator to tuck fabric.

9. Trimmers push tack band (metal strip) through fabric edges, roll once and use rubber mallet to attach to frame.

10. Rarely lifting is required to sit frames off the assembly conveyor due to repairs.

11. Use transfer cart to move frame back onto conveyor and push down the line.

12. May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.

  1. Must have Trimmer upholstery experience 
  2. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  3. Must have hand to eye corrdination
  4. Must be organized and able to multi-task
  5. Must be able to complete job duties in timely manner
  6. Ability to pay close attention to details
  7. Excellent attendance record
  8. Flelxible to changing work stations as business dictates
  9. Work and make decisions with minimum supervision
  10. Overtime as required, including Saturday
