Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.

DB Global Technology develops cutting-edge software applications for the Deutsche Bank’s global operations and represents a platform for highly skilled software engineers. The team members specialize in Software Application Development, IT Architecture, Quality Assurance and Testing, Functional/Business Analysis and Project Management.

Compliance

Compliance Control Room is a global function and is made up of regional Control Rooms that form part of the global network providing 24-hour Control Room coverage to the Bank globally. The program will provide IT solutions to support the Control Room in their key system which will provide the ability to enhance efficiencies, effectiveness, enriched MI reporting, and scalability to integral compliance systems that assist Compliance in managing conflicts, research clearance, watch/restricted list management and information barrier maintenance. This program is vital to the bank as the Control Room’s primary function ensures that Price Sensitive Information is properly identified and controlled across the bank. The Control Room system sends information downstream to allow other key control activities to function correctly - employee trading, surveillance, restricted list management, department department-wide MI reporting. The objective of this program is to ensure Control Room systems and data are in peak condition to ensure effective controls across the bank.

  • Automation is needed with a focus on deployments and processes
  • Agile framework , SDLC and ITIL used in the working environment
  • Collaboration with all the other areas (e.g.BA, QA, SM, PO) is needed
  • Speak Up if something can be improved
  • IT Passionate, knowledge sharing mode

Responsibilities/Activities

  • Perform configuration management in non-production and production environments
  • Build, and deploy activities on non-production environments
  • Prepare release notes, deployment instructions
  • Can provide support for technical infrastructure components (middleware, databases, operating systems).
  • Involvement in the whole SDLC flow.
  • Contributes to problem and root cause analysis.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of build, deploy, and release processes.
  • Creates knowledge base articles.

Requirements

Technical

  • Experience with high-end complex solutions and mission-critical (99.9% uptime) applications
  • Proven/Very good experience with: Bitbucket, Artifactory, Helm, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube or maybe something similar
  • Good Linux know-how, shell scripting
  • You should be very familiar with the CI/CD pipelines – Teamcity, Jenkins
  • Some user experience with JIRA Scrum/Kanban - Agile workflow methodologies, Confluence will be nice
  • Container management- you should have some very good experience: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes
  • API Management
  • Knowledhe DBMS/SQL (Oracle)
  • Application layer protocols (TLS/SSL, HTTP(S), DNS, etc)
  • You should have quite a lot of troubleshooting experience - application and infrastructure level

  • Java
  • GCP

Education

  • Technical University Degree
