We’re looking for Software Engineer in Test/Test Analyst to:

• learn about and understand the software under test
• analyze the software and business requirements and design tests to cover the functionality and while doing so:

○ have client in mind at all steps

○ consider all quality aspects

○ consider all test levels

○ consider functional and non-functional aspects

• develop Test plans for end to end initiatives
• where appropriate and together with development team design, engineer and maintain test automation on all levels of testing pyramid to defend integrity and security of application with these in mind:

○ follow the 70% - 20% - 10% guidance with 70% of tests as low level unit-tests; 20% integration tests and only order 10% of end to end or UI based tests

• comply with UBS test strategy and testing standards
• contribute to reduction of all security and operational risks, in line with policies and standards
• participating in risk analysis and threat modelling activities to identify potential security vulnerabilities
• identify opportunities to improve our processes
• communicate within the Scrum team to ensure that the requirements are understood and implemented correctly

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in a dynamic Scrum team in the Crew Digital Security within the Touchpoint Stream.

We build secure solutions for existing and prospective clients and have a proven track record of being first to market and ahead of the competition by evolving our solutions accessed by thousands of users every day.

Your expertise

• ideally 5+ years of experience as a test engineer/test analyst
• test automation experience, preferably using Java
• ability to design and implement test automation E2E, fitting the software under test
• strong analytics skills and ability to learn quickly about the software under test
• experience with testing approaches and tools e.g.: Jira xRay, Gitlab, Selenium, Postman
• solid understanding of security concepts
• inquisitive, able to challenge effectively and manage conflicting stakeholder needs
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• fluent in English
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
