The Opportunity

The College of Sciences is seeking a Manager, Contracts and Grants Administration Professional to perform administrative work in support of research proposals and compliance. Provides oversight of pre-award sponsored program functions associated with the review and submission of proposals. Reviews and analyzes issues for federal and state private sponsoring agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees department contract and grant liaison actions for proposal submissions, contracts, and/or grants.
  • Collaborates to review and modify negotiated sponsored research agreements and proposals. Collaborates with deans, center/institute directors, and department chairpersons to resolve issues and implement departmental research policies and procedures.
  • Guides and oversees the development of technical proposals, including preparation and content in coordination with UCF faculty, staff, department administrators, and research coordinators, as needed.
  • Ensures proposal is accurate and submitted by sponsor deadline.
  • Assists with completion of sponsor forms, budgetary forms, representations/certifications, and internal forms as required.
  • Ensures all aspects of sponsored programs research is in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, and Research Foundation and UCF policies in partnership with the Office of Research.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience managing contracts and grants for an institution of higher learning.
