FP&A Manager

Overview:

The purpose of this role is to lead the Financial Planning activities for all countries in the cluster including, financial support for key commercial stakeholders and partners such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Marketing, ensuring adherence to financial policies (internal and external). This role will be supervising also month-end closing process, forecast and active participation on the monthly S&OP. Coordinate also periodic forecast cycle as Q1 Forecast, Q2 Forecast, Re-Est and annual Budget Process for the cluster. This role will also have active coordination with the SSC, HQ and regional teams.

The FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical support to optimize business performance and drive growth. This position requires a strong background in financial analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.

This role is also responsible for all people management activities, recruiting, development, PMP, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial planning processes, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers of performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Control and management of the Trade Spending Investment.
  • Prepare insightful financial reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key financial metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Lead the monthly close process and year-end activities.
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to business leaders, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to drive alignment on financial goals and initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support to assist in evaluating new business opportunities, product launches, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage the accounting team (leads and analysts) including all recruiting, team development, PMP, and coaching.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA Degreed advantageous
  • CIMA/CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the FMCG industry
  • Strong Computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Financial software systems and ERP e.g. SAP, BPC, Oracle
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
