About the role:

In a nutshell, you will report directly into our Head of Production and will be responsible for the running of successful shifts across a 24/7 operation to ensure you have a skilled, motivated team so that all of our customers boxes are packed perfectly each and every time. The role of the Senior Operations Manager will be pivotal in the development of the HelloFresh Operation.

What will you be doing?

• Leading our team of Operation Managers to develop an inclusive performance culture.
• Provide proactive and constructive engagement with all operational managers.
• Constantly striving to better the efficiency of the operation and the overall delivery process.
• Continually identifying opportunities to implement best practice throughout the wider team.
• Be overall accountable to our performance metrics and the improvement of them.
• Recruit and develop staff to be the best at what they do.
• Workforce resource planning and team development – Succession planning, Personal development plans and creating an operational talent pool.
• Promote improvement in safety, quality, delivery and cost through effective management and leading positive change.
• Take learnings from the operation and translate these into improvements through collaboration with other teams.
• Support the implementation of new products into the operation.

Who You Are:

• Ideally from an FMCG background in Production or Logistics Operations Management. Experience with managing large scale operations with multiple management tiers. (Automation experience also advantageous)
• Experience in working with electronic warehouse management systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and its application in a warehouse/production environment.
• Used to working in a high pressure, fast paced and constantly changing environment.
• Understanding of operational reporting, key information identification and critical issue escalation.
• Excellent people skills and be passionate about achieving results through people. A strong leader, able to inspire others and build engaged and motivated teams.
• Great communication skills and decision-making capabilities. Logical approach to making decisions, promoting the customer comes first mindset.
• Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders.
• Looking for someone who has the drive to go above and beyond and the agility to adapt and thrive in a change environment

Location: The Windmill Unit 2, Collaboration Way | Derby | DE21 7HW

Work Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday 07:00-19:00/19:00-07:00, rotating days/nights
