Description & Requirements

As a Development Operations engineer for the LX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related technologies, you are responsible for maintaining environments, preparing builds, developing and maintaining tools, testing and delivering high-quality software. You will work within a multidisciplinary development team in close collaboration with other skilled software engineers, architects, business analysts, and other teams. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance product installations, patch installations, internal tools and customer facing tools on an ongoing basis.
  • Troubleshoot and debug in the internal development environments.
  • Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for installation and administration of the product and tools.
  • Create and maintain process documents (work instructions) related to tasks performed.
  • Ensure products conform to design or usability requirements.
  • Continuously develop application knowledge in the product suite, technical environment, and technologies.
  • Adhere to standards and is always abreast of tools and standard operating procedure updates.
  • Open to taking on other projects and responsibilities, as necessary.
  • Take initiative in the investigation and implementation of new techniques and tools to improve Infor software delivery and Development infrastructure.

Key Requirements/Experience

  • Experienced IBM i engineer in RPGLE, DB2, SQL, CLLE and XML.
  • Prior experience in an IT related role.
  • Analytical, accurate, and result driven.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
  • Exposure to Java or Infor Development Framework (IDF) or Infor WebTop a plus.
