Summary of BSS primary job responsibilities in Storage and Compression

  • Coding invoices
  • Collaborating with Supervisors, Directors, & VP to develop, monitor, and achieve our O&M budget.
  • Creating O&M and project reports for meetings and upon request when needed.
  • Teaming with Finance: monthly projections, monthly BSS/FA conference calls, budget questions.
  • Handling P-Cards including tracking, requesting receipts, coding, providing business descriptions, writing name/coding/business purpose on receipts.
  • Printing all receipts out & scanning them in behind barcode cover page.
  • Setting up S&C’s capital projects
  • Creating forecast templates for each S&C project manager monthly, updating forecasts based off feedback.
  • Responding to Power Plant alerts & taking necessary action (update estimated in-service dates, forecasts, and re-routing projects)
  • Closing projects in Power Plant, completing financial closing spreadsheets.
  • Managing pending Purpose and Necessity Forms (P&N’s) and revising as needed.
  • Keeping P&N forms updated with new locations, assets, CBs, and multi-year versions.
  • Supporting Directors/Supervisors daily with various business requests, etc.

Primary Duties

1. Serves as the primary region/department contact person for operating and maintenance budgets, capital project forecasts and related issues.

2. Communicates with internal and external partners such as operations, engineering, finance, contractors and consultants. Maintains and analyzes forecasts on assigned capital projects.

3. Monitors, investigates, analyzes, and explains budget forecasts and variances as required. Resolves discrepancies between various data sources.

4. Organizes and provides data for the annual budget cycle as requested.

5. Identifies, evaluates, develops, and conducts training as needed to ensure the consistent application of administrative and financial practices, policies, and procedures.

6. Assists in completing and maintaining accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level:

Associate's degree in accounting, finance or business administration; or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration is preferred.

Computer Skills:

Requires ability to utilize the Company's database systems and available resources for data entry, reference and/or retrieval tasks.

Requires working knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point to create documents, reports, and/or graphics.

Numeric Skills:

Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

Communication Skills:

Requires the ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information.

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment

May require travel to other offices, including possible overnight travel.

Physical Demands:

Requires performing activities including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, using office equipment, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting.
