About the Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA):
FSSA was established by the Indiana General Assembly in 1991 to consolidate and better integrate the delivery of human services by state government. FSSA is a health care and social services funding agency. Ninety-four percent of the agency’s total budget is paid to thousands of service providers ranging from major medical centers to a physical therapist working with a child or adult with a developmental disability. The six care divisions in FSSA administer services to more than 1.5 million Hoosiers. FSSA’s mission is to compassionately serve Hoosiers of all ages and connect them with social services, health care and their communities.
Role Overview: This role, serving in the Division of Strategy & Technology, performs a variety of duties within the Privacy and Security Office in relation to protecting and safeguarding FSSA client data, both proactively and reactively. Your role primarily focuses on reducing the agency's overall information technology assets/systems risk profile. You will execute PC software testing to mitigate risks to the agency presented by potentially vulnerable software applications, adhering to the software testing standards developed by the Privacy & Security Office to maintain compliance with the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) Statewide Policies. You will actively monitor workstation vulnerabilities and execute remediation procedures when assets fall below the acceptable threshold and agency IT asset inventory, remediating/mitigating risk when identified. Your role actively monitors and reports on existing agency exceptions to the Indiana IOT Statewide Policies and serves as the primary point of contact for the request of new policy exceptions;
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience with information security best practices and application, a basic ability to execute and understand (at a high level) basic scripting methods (ex. PowerShell); and demonstrated knowledge and experience with GRC tools (preferably Archer), Rapid7 Insight, Varonis DatAdvantage, MS SCCM, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Office 365.
Salary: This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $61,022.00. The Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
