The Sr. Manager, Research & Insights is responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and customer analysis to gather insights and support business decision-making. They will conduct customer focus groups to gather feedback and insights on products, services, and customer experiences. Conduct customer interviews to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations. Conduct prospect interviews to gain insights into potential customer segments and market opportunities. Lead the development and implementation of a vision for the Voice of the Customer (VoC) program, ensuring the collection and analysis of customer feedback across various touchpoints. Plan and facilitate concept testing to evaluate the viability and appeal of new product ideas. Coordinate and conduct new product testing to assess product performance, user experience, and market potential. Conduct new market testing to evaluate market acceptance, competition, and growth potential. Analyze research findings and present actionable insights to internal teams, including marketing, product development, and sales. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate consumer insights into effective marketing strategies, product enhancements, and business opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior to guide research initiatives and inform business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research:
  • Customer focus groups to gather feedback and insights on products, services, and customer experiences.
  • Customer interviews to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
  • Conduct prospect interviews to gain insights into potential customer segments and market opportunities.
  • New Product/Customer Research:
  • Plan and facilitate concept testing to evaluate the viability and appeal of new product ideas.
  • Coordinate and conduct new product testing to assess product performance, user experience, and market potential.
  • Conduct new market testing to evaluate market acceptance, competition, and growth potential.
  • Analyze research findings and present actionable insights to internal teams, including marketing, product development, and sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate consumer insights into effective marketing strategies, product enhancements, and business opportunities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Market Research, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in related field
  • Type of Experience:
  • Proven experience in primary research methodologies, such as focus groups, interviews, concept testing, and market testing.
  • Experience in mining and interpreting industry data to create actionable insights.
  • Market Research experience in the B2B market where little to no syndicated data exists
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems:
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job.
  • Familiarity with data analysis software (SPSS, Excel, etc.) is a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficiency in market research tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret research data to extract meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
