Responsibilities
- Manage without the need for significant direction, projects within the business unit in accordance with ZF's new product introduction management process requirements.
- Manage all aspects of a project over the entire life of the project as shown by the following project phases: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, control and closing.
- Support acquisition activities during pre-award phases on a case-by-case basis as agreed with program management director and/or sales management lead.
- Manage the customer interface from award through post launch phases.
- Interface with all areas affected by the project, ensure successful integration of all project work products.
- Balance the competing demands of scope, time and cost while achieving the highest quality and stakeholder/customer satisfaction levels.
- Monitor progress of projects through internal reviews, participate in team meetings and assist where needed, resolve escalated issues internally and with the customer.
- Support existing programs that have major changes directed by the customer and participate in VAVE cost reduction activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in project management, engineering or related technical field required.
- Professional Certifications: Preferred CAPM certification through the Program Management Institute (PMI)
- +5 experience in Automotive Industry product development with at least two years of project management experience.
- English proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Project and MS Office
