The opportunity

This role within Manufacturing Excellence team in the Capability Center of the Manufacturing Tech Support unit, has as primary focus driving the Analytical Excellence programs, aiming to introduce best practices, improve efficiency and cost competitiveness of products, knowledge management, analytical methods standardization, upskilling of analytical know-how across the network and support new technology implementation. The relevant programs involve several existing initiatives such as Analytical Quality by Design, risk management, analytical methods transfer and Hand in Hand program, and other critical business processes. In addition, the role will serve as an SME in drug product analytics.

Croatia or the Netherlands, but other European countries can also be considered 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead or support network-broad Analytical Excellence programs and initiatives that support Generic Powerhouse strategy.
  • Provide global program management on relevant Teva Operating Model and Value Acceleration Programs, ensuring the relevant KPIs are met
  • Drive/support relevant analytical initiatives that impact multiple sites/segments. This includes standardization of analytical practices, creating and/or sharing best practices, continuous improvements on efficiency and cost competitiveness of analytical methods
  • Streamline process of knowledge transfer between R&D and TGO, as well as among TGO sites 
  • Identify and introduce/share best practices that improve analytical compliance and competitiveness.
  • Provide relevant training and capability development in advanced analytics across TGO
  • Support Global Packaging group with extractable-leachable programs for various types of marketed drug products 
  • Be an effective SME on analytical sciences, keeping abreast of technological and regulatory developments that impact formulation analytics.
  • Drive introduction of new analytical technologies in TGO 
  • Support TGO's modernization program with analytical aspects and use case implementation (such as Raman on-line, etc..)
  • Promotes a culture of technical excellence, problem solving, teamwork, and effective communication. 

Your experience and qualifications

  • Education: minimum MSc (PhD preferred) in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology or equivalent
  • Work experience of 10+ years within a multinational pharmaceutical company 
  • Program management experience 
  • Broad knowledge of physical as well as chemical characterization using various advanced analytical testing instrumentation.
  • Experience in process, product and analytical development activities, and a knowledge of CMC regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of regulatory submissions and approval for new drug products and experience in supporting marketed drug products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization
  • Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to influence, build consensus, make decisions and implement. 
  • Ability to work across cultures and functions, building effective cross-functional collaboration and teamwork. 
  • Ability to work autonomously, make decisions and resolve/follow up issues quickly
  • Experience in operational excellence or black belt certification is an advantage
