About the job

The Energy division here at Alfa Laval South East Asia is looking for a Distribution Sales Manager, based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Sales Manager, ED, South East Asia, you will be responsible to support and develop existing and new partners on our distribution way to market, identifying business opportunities within the market of Alfa Laval Energy division products and applications. Engaging with our distribution network across Thailand-Laos-Cambodia and business plan development, both short and long term. The role will require someone that provides a superior customer experience, drives growth and increases our market share.

Key Responsibilities in this role: 

  • Analyze and understand market insights and make long and short terms business plans for distributors according to the business division strategy and targets.
  • Responsible for delivering and securing profitable growth with distribution business in Thailand for Energy Division in line with the South East Asia Sales Company targets and objectives.
  • Work proactively and in a structured manner in order to optimize sales efficiency.
  • Conduct Market and Customer analysis and mapping to define business potential and opportunities.
  • Identify key factors to grow sales at each distributor and to motivate them to prioritize Alfa Laval product sales.
  • Update and implement business channels agreements for appointed distributors.
  • Provide trainings to distributors and make sure they have the right and relevant tools to achieve sales targets.
  • Managing potential channel conflict with other sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through adherence to channel rules of engagement.
  • Implement our CRM system with channels and manage leads to our distribution network.
  • Scope and scout for new channels based on market gaps.
  • Onboarding new distributors.
  • Lead and inspire our distributor network.
  • Provide and analyse monthly channel reports and address low performance.
  • Maintain and develop a good mutual beneficial relationship with our channel network.

What you know?

  • You are a Chemical or Mechanical engineering graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related industry which includes Technical Sales, B2B, KAM, HVAC Industries, Refrigeration Industries, Chiller System Builder etc.
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) with proficiency in local language
  • Channel management exposure is a must.
