Lifeway's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team is seeking a Financial Support Analyst. In this position, you’ll provide business and operational support for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team assisting with inventory management, product proformas, product data administration, and other financial activities including financial statement close, reporting, forecast, and budget work.

Responsibilities

A Financial Support Analyst will:

  • Provide inventory management and product proforma support to the FP&A team. This includes assisting with product initial printings and reprints, inventory analysis, and product proformas. Initial printings and reprints involve gathering, organizing, and assembling product data for analysis across multiple product lines. Product proforma support includes gathering and assembling product financial information into a projected contribution statement.
  • Support the FP&A team with financial statement close, reporting, and other financial support activities. This includes assisting with financial statement analysis and corrections (i.e. journal entries), maintaining dashboard and other key divisional reports, and aiding analysts in projection and budget cycles.
  • Assist the FP&A team with product data administration. This includes gathering, auditing, and maintaining product data in the appropriate systems. This focuses on key product data fields critical to ensuring accurate results and reporting.
  • Assist department director and managers with other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration with emphasis in finance or accounting
  • Pursuing or completed CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
  • 1-2 years experience providing financial/budgeting support.
  • 1-2 years of data analysis and reporting experience
  • 1-2 years experience in cost accounting
  • Detail oriented and able to work through large amounts of data
  • Objective mindset that is data driven, focused on facts
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft tools such as Excel (i.e. pivot tables, XLookup, query tools, etc.)
  • Intermediate use of Business Intelligence tools (i.e., PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Healthy financial acumen including proforma development, GAAP standards, accounting principles, financial metrics, etc.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of being operational and strategic at the same time, keeping the macro view in mind while mining details
  • Demonstrated ability to protect and utilize confidential information responsibly
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and time management skills. 
  • Actively attend an evangelical Christian church and serve/participate in church events or ministries
