Job Purpose:

The IT Communications Advisor for Graphic Packaging International, LLC will collaborate with the IT senior leadership team to create, execute and manage a communication strategy that effectively promotes the global team’s initiatives, technology enhancements and services within the IT organization and across GPI.

The incumbent will manage day-to-day communication activities across the IT organization, as well as lead communications strategies to support business transformation projects. A key responsibility will include creating compelling content that informs, inspires and mobilizes employees, drives culture change, and enhances our IT brand. Must work within and adhere to the company’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.

Major Duties:

  • Create, execute and manage GPI’s global IT Communications Strategy, including key messages, audiences, channels and operating rhythm
  • Lead executive communications plan for Chief Information Officer, including business updates, all hands meetings and roundtables
  • Serve as strategic advisor to IT leadership team, including coaching IT leaders to improve their communications skills and create impactful messages
  • Develop compelling content to engage a diverse, global team of IT technology professionals, as well as GPI employees, including sourcing content and optimizing editorial workflow for maximum impact across channels and audiences
  • Build communications standards, processes and best practices to create, maintain and repurpose content
  • Create communications plans and materials to support significant organizational change projects impacting global IT processes, as well as Corporate and business unit functions
  • Ensure alignment with Corporate Communications team and other functional groups

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Business or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years internal/employee communications experience in a large global organization
  • Strong storyteller: able to develop creative assets to support storytelling, including video, social media and online content
  • Strong business acumen, excellent core communications skills, including writing, verbal, leadership and interpersonal skill; demonstrated writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated executive presence; collaborative team player, able to effectively interact at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders
  • Able to translate complex ideas into clear, influential communication
  • Experience communicating large transformation projects and change management skills a plus

Additional Skills:

  • Proven results developing, implementing and sustaining communications plans/channels, including channel management and content generation
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with high standards for delivering quality work
  • Broad knowledge of strategic communications tools and digital technologies; outstanding skills in MS Office Suite; experience with SharePoint; graphic design skills and knowledge of digital media tools a plus
  • Self-starter, strong initiative; enthusiastic, confident attitude; innovative and creative thinker with strong technical aptitude
  • Knowledge of IT processes and infrastructure a plus

Level of Education: 4-year degree

Travel: Less than 25% travel may be required.

Salary Min: $112,560.00

Salary Mid: $150,045.00

Salary Max: $187,530.00
