ManTech's Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides cradle to grave support to the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) for Assured Access To Space (AATS).

We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles, and Digital Engineering.

ManTech is actively seeking a motivated interdisciplinary Information System Security Officer and Manager who has a strong desire to join our team in the El Segundo, CA area or remote, and become an integral part of the future of Launch Enterprise

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Champion various information assurance programs such as security authorization activities in compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies and procedures including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, A&A packages, and Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM)
  • Maintain operational security posture to ensure information systems (IS), security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed
  • Lead effort to complete Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements and maintain posture to keep ATO
  • Be the liaison for accrediting systems processes and lead coordination with all interested parties
  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to comply with institutional security requirements
  • Assist in process development, roadmap modifications, and sprint execution
  • Coordinate and communicate with a cross-disciplinary and multi-organizational team toward a common goal
  • Work hands on to accomplish required tasks and assist others develop skills through expert knowledge
  • Can accurately perform security tasks required by the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-37, DoD 8500.1 DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, DOD Instruction 8510.01 Risk Management Framework for DoD Systems and other Policy for the administration and safeguarding of US and foreign Government classified and unclassified information as it pertains to networks, standalone computer systems, and data encryption

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/IT or STEM.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, technical PM or other related areas with at least 1 year DoD, NASA or industry equivalent
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Current CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certificate
  • Experience with obtaining and maintaining an Authorization to Operate (ATO)
  • Proven track record of developing innovative solutions and leading projects in an agile environment
  • Understanding of FISMA, NIST, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Federal Information System requirements
  • Experience with performing Security Control Assessment, including experience working towards and maintaining proper security compliance (DoD SRG, Impact Levels 2-5, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, etc.) Demonstrated ability to resolve engineering issues effectively
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, successful collaboration with multiple agencies and personnel, excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current professional certificate from AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar
  • Experience with Zero Trust Network Architectures and Identity and Access Management
  • Experience in the Launch Enterprise or in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with repository control tools (i.e., GitLab, GitHub)
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, routing)
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $122,600-$204,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
