JOB TITLE: Position Control Associate

SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$85,000

LOCATION: 2 Broadway New York, NY 10004

HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)

SUMMARY:

The Position Control Associate is integral to the HR Operations and Analytics team, focusing on managing and maintaining the accuracy of the organization's position data within the position control system. This role supports the implementation of strategic workforce planning and budget adherence by ensuring accurate position information across departments. Collaborating with HRBPs, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and department heads, the Associate ensures that position data supports organizational objectives and compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Data Management: Assist with the accurate and timely update of the position management system, including position creation, modification, and deactivation.

  • Budget and Workforce Planning Support: Facilitate the alignment of position data with organizational budget constraints and workforce planning strategies, ensuring resource allocation meets strategic goals.
  • Data Integrity and Compliance: Perform regular audits and validations of position data to maintain high data quality and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Support the development and distribution of reports related to position management, including vacancy rates, budget variances, and workforce analytics.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements in position control practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for position control inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to internal stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the development and delivery of training sessions on position control processes and systems to internal stakeholders.
  • Project Support: Participate in HR projects that involve position management, providing analytical support and data management expertise.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of position data across all systems by conducting regular data quality reviews and rectifications.
  • Data Integration and Automation: Work on integrating position control data with other HR and organizational systems to streamline processes, reduce manual input, and enhance data consistency across platforms.
  • Data Security and Privacy Compliance: Maintain the confidentiality and security of position data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal data governance policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in HR operations, specifically in data management or position control, with an understanding of workforce planning principles.
  • Proficiency in using HR Information Systems (HRIS), basic analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a foundational knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

PREFERRED:

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Able to write and modify SQL, R, Python code
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM ERP
