Team and Role Overview

Nasdaq is seeking a Fintech Platform Operations Specialist to join our Fintech Platform Operations team. Platform Operations team is a part of Nasdaq Global Operations Organization and is managing Nasdaq CapCloud and RegCloud offerings. These offerings are SaaS platforms which enable progressive business processing through a suite of award-winning, innovative solutions for capital markets and financial players of all sizes. Both platforms are rapidly growing and deliver the power and sophistication of market-leading software applications as a service. Fintech Platform Operations team manages client onboarding, operations and 24/7 production support, integrates the platforms with client and market ecosystems. Join us on this exciting journey!

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities may change over time but you can expect responsibilities like:

  • Ensure that the overall service (including people/processes/tools/infrastructure) is available, and meeting agreed service level requirements
  • Ensure that the customer and operational support environments are sized appropriately (including both growing resources as needed and reducing resources when not in use)
  • Lead appropriate incidents (and problems) through to resolution, referring and escalating to other resolver groups as required
  • Support plans relating to security incidents (including testing), initiating actions when flagged, and ensuring liaison with other parties (internal and external) as necessary
  • Execute plans for DR/BC as required (including periodic testing)
  • Create and maintain operational run book, taking input from other teams as required
  • Build new customer environments and on-board clients (collaborating closely with client-facing teams)
  • Deliver changes to operational environments (within the framework of release and change management processes)
  • Ensure support for a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying areas for potentially improved automation and feeding back to relevant teams
  • Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work activities

Who are we looking for?

  • Confirmed experience in a SaaS environment for a managed infrastructure or cloud-based solution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology or similar qualification
  • Solid understanding of public cloud architecture (OCI, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Unix Shell
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, Centos, OEL)
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, HTTP(S), and SSH
  • Good knowledge of Oracle Cloud and/or AWS and/or Azure
  • Understanding of Java J2EE applications, JVM tuning, JConsole, JMX, and other Java tools is preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid experience working in distributed teams across multiple time zones and different jurisdictions
  • Hands-on experience with tools managing the cloud environment including native Cloud Service provider tools and third party tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and a familiarity with problem-solving, attention to detail and quality, and a desire for improvement
  • Good awareness of security and confidentiality issues and experience in identifying security vulnerabilities
  • Good knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks

It would be excellent if you have:

  • Knowledge of IBM MQ and Other JMS services is a plus
  • Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL is a plus
  • Experience with Windows 2016+ is a plus

What happens now?

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 2 days per week.

Monthly base salary 2800-3200 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.
