This position will require the intern to be onsite in our Richardson, TX Headquarters 2-3 days a week. No relocation assistance is available. Please be sure to include your portfolio and password if required.

RealPage is looking for a UX researcher-intern to join our internal user research department for summer 2024. A successful UX Intern-Researcher at RealPage must have the ability to find out what users in the real estate and rental industries need from a software product. The ideal candidate must be able to support ongoing and initiate new research in the following areas: primary, secondary, qualitative, quantitative, market, survey and potentially ethnographic.

We are seeking a talented UX intern-researcher with the ability to conduct mixed-method studies and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions. Our dream candidate would be the one who is seeking an opportunity to learn and grow professionally quickly, who is comfortable collaborating across time-zones and cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, leaders, engineers).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are a can-do and pro-active UX-intern researcher who understands the value of user insights to developing better product experiences in the PropTech space.
  • You will be responsible for helping facilitate collaboration within other UX researchers, designers, and product stakeholders. You will help us initiate, conduct new and progress on the existing research projects that help define and drive the future of our products and refine some existing ones to provide better experiences to our customers in the real estate and rental industries. The UX Research-Intern will:
  • Support and help organize strategic and tactical research within the UX team in partnership with the product and development peers.
  • Help evangelize and advocate for our users within the organization, showing how user insights drive our strategic direction and growth. This role will set the foundation for scalable, research-driven and user-focused initiatives.
  • Identify new and collaborate on ongoing research engagements by partnering with research and design leaders.
  • Be active contributor to setting up and following the processes and expected outputs for research planning domain to ensure the success of foundational studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.
  • Assist with research landscape by helping track research deliverables and research outputs and how they can be shaping product roadmaps, initiatives, metrics, and user pain points across the selected products.
  • Support research efforts that align with the business's overarching goals and user needs, driving meaningful changes in the user experience and contribute to business success.

EDUCATION

  • Currently attending college to BA/BS degree in social sciences (Sociology, Research, Statistics, Market Research, or similar fields) or experimental psychology (experimental, social, cognitive), human computer interaction, human factors, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience or design bootcamp.
  • Recent graduates (MA/MS/MBA/ PhDs) are encouraged to apply

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • UX Bootcamp certification or other UX training/ courses could be a plus
  • Working knowledge of Figma, Miro, Notion, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook & Power Point apps
  • Experience or familiarity with techniques and approaches for leading customer-focused interviews and workshops
  • Experience with conducting secondary analysis research
  • An understanding of the Agile product development and the role of user research to support continued development. #LI-JL1 #LI-REMOTE
