We are looking for a Head of Govt. & Industry Relations who can join our team in Indonesia. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a favourable environment for Ericsson’s and our customers’ success through thought leadership and trusted advice that proactively influences governments and industry organizations, in policies, legislation, and regulations for ICT and trade. You will ensure Ericsson maintains a trusted relationship with key stakeholders across the government. 

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • The role will be responsible for all government relations across WPC, Ministry of Information and Telecommunication, and other ministries and departments for Ericsson in Indonesia.
  • The person will be responsible for sustaining and enlarging the technology thought leadership position enjoyed by Ericsson amongst the key stakeholders in the Ministry of ICT, related bodies, and regulators.
  • The person will develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparts in operators, technology partners, other OEMs, competitors.
  • The role will own the engagement and relationship with key trade and industry associations like Apjastel.
  • The individual will demonstrate a key interest in learning new technologies and possess analytical reasoning to link technology to policy.
  • The individual will ensure regular interactions for Ericsson Indonesia President Director, Senior Ericsson executives from HQ & Market area with key government stakeholders involved in policy formulation.
  • The position will be responsible for monitoring and scanning the regulatory and policy landscape for changing regulations, policies, rules, guidelines, and laws that may have a direct or indirect impact on Ericsson's business and its ability to serve its customers.
  • The role will actively engage within the organization with different functions not limited to CU, domains, Supply, Sourcing, legal, IPR, taxation, finance, group function technology, trade compliance, and cyber & network security.
  • Strong adherence to Ericsson Ethics and Compliance as well as Indonesian regulations.

You will bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in law, business administration, science, or a similar area, or corresponding acquired skills/knowledge.
  • Minimum 15+ Years of relevant industry experience.
  • Highly developed understanding of national policies, regulations and legislation, and associated processes and actors.
  • Good understanding of relationships and influences between national, regional, and global policies/regulations and processes.
  • Ability to identify regulatory-induced business opportunities and constraints.
  • Strategic utilization of influencing and lobbying skills based on effective communication and active engagement.
  • A strong Customer and Government network.
  • Experience in driving strategy work.
  • Proven People management experience.
  • Understanding of changing trends in Telco technology.
