Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our Data & Analytics team in MUFG Investor Services (“MUFG”). The successful candidate will be an instrumental member of the Analytics team setup as part of the strategic build out and transformation of the finance function, responsible for building out data solutions that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of finance data.
Responsibilities:
Power BI Development:
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Optimize and enhance existing Power BI solutions for improved performance and user experience
- Work closely with the business Analysts to so technical specifications are understood ahead of each development cycle
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analysis. Be able to identify the root causes of Power BI or data issues and solve them in a timely manner.
- Implement best practices on improving user interface and remediate existing reports to improve performance.
- Develop and update technical documentation before each release cycle.
- Data Integration and Modeling:
- Ensure data integrity and security measures are implemented throughout the development process.
- Manage data integration from various sources into SQL server, Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Design and implement data models to support complex analytical requirements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices to drive innovation within the team.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or Accounting.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, including Power Query, Power Automate, Advanced DAX Query, Deployment Pipeline, Power BI Premium capabilities, GitHub Integration, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, AML Toolkit and other related tools. Microsoft Certifications would be preferred..
- Financial services sector experience is preferred.
- Deep Knowledge of SQL Datawarehouse techniques and ability to query databases is critical to this role.
- Experience in designing reporting interfaces that enhance user experience
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
