THE OPPORTUNITY

We're excited to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Project Estimator to join our esteemed Storage Equipment Division (SED) team. Reporting directly to the Technical and Sales Support Manager you will form part of this dynamic SED team.

SED specifies and delivers warehouse racking solutions such as ColbyRACK which has been manufactured in Australia for over 50 years. Ideally suited to a proactive project estimator eager to leave their imprint and inspire innovation through process enhancements.

If you excel in dynamic environments, driven by a desire for excellence, and are eager to provide design and technical assistance and project estimates for the SED business units, then this role is tailored for you. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Design, Layout, Estimating and Sales support to SED Business Units as required, seeking input from other departments, groups & outside suppliers as required.
• Optimise design and pricing to be competitive as possible, whilst maintaining the technical integrity of the job.
• Review proposed design & costs with Project Engineer and or Technical and Sales Support Manager.
• Ensure compliance with relevant ISO procedures, including Proposal Review.
• Prepare or Assist in preparation of Proposals / Tender submissions in conjunction with the SED Business Units.
• Ensure smooth & complete handover of contracts that we win, to the designated Project Engineers.
• Monitor design & cost erosion on completed jobs & implement & record corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Any other task responsibilities assigned by Management.

Tasks and Qualifications:

ABOUT YOU

Successful candidates will possess the following:

• Minimum 2-3 years project estimating experience within warehousing, industrial construction, or manufacturing industries
• Qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronics or Civil/Structural Engineering
• Comprehensive understanding of design engineering processes
• Proficient in project management programs, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
