POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance Auditor position will be located in Beijing, China as part of the Global Corporate Audit Compliance Group. The Corporate Audit Compliance Group is responsible for conducting investigations of allegations of fraud, violations of law or Pfizer policies and procedures within Pfizer's operations globally. Compliance Auditor will report directly to the Director, Corporate Audit and have the primary responsibility for performing forensic audit procedures and other testing and analysis related to the review and investigation of compliance issues in China and other markets.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compliance Auditor will work under supervision of the Director, Corporate Audit and other senior staff as part of a matrixed team.
  • Conduct detailed audit testing in connection with the investigation of allegations of expense report fraud, conflicts of interest, violations of the Global Policy on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals (GPIHP) and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other violations of Pfizer policies and procedures or laws.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and accessing various Pfizer IT systems to extract and collect financial and other data needed for audit testing; where direct access is unavailable, Compliance auditor will work with Pfizer commercial and finance colleagues to collect necessary data and documentation.
  • Accountable for understanding and following audit plan and testing objectives outlined or provided by managers and senior staff
  • Responsible for accurately completing high quality audit documentation and work papers in line with testing objectives and expected timelines, including:
  • Perform basic data analytics
  • Understand and follow the audit testing templates provided;
  • Make clear and organized documentation on financial record tested;
  • Make timely reporting on significant audit findings from the testing.
  • Coordinate with corporate compliance team and external counsels to prepare for supporting documentation needed in investigation interviews;
  • Perform other administrative activities including maintaining internal matter tracker and work on other Corporate Audit or Compliance Group projects and initiatives, as needed.
  • Domestic and international business travel of approximately 5%-10% may be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 2 years related work experience preferred
  • Forensic skills and/or experience with pharmaceutical company preferred
  • Certification(s): Chartered Accountant or Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Internal Auditor preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in Chinese and English (both oral and written)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to execute detailed forensic audit testing with larger sample size.
