Position Overview

As a member of the Ralph Lauren Workforce Management team, the Analyst, Labour Optimisation is responsible for supporting the embedding the workforce planning tool as the scheduling process across all stores, ensuring engagement and compliance are delivered to an exceptional standard and with integrity.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and innovative, with the ability to multi-task and a high degree of analytical proficiency. This position requires good knowledge and experience in operations management and a firm understanding of Retail concepts. This position is an excellent opportunity to begin building strong business partnerships with retail management leads and corporate stakeholders.

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Embed the workforce planning tool as the scheduling process across all stores, ensuring engagement and compliance are delivered to an exceptional standard and with integrity.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement around the scheduling processes, reviewing the front and back-end user experience and escalating ideas and concerns as appropriate.
  • Work with Retail Operations colleagues to investigate scheduling trends and anomalies, suggesting positive action to address non-compliance and audit risks.
  • Collaborate with the department/functional leads to manage labour optimisation and the required inputs (drivers); specifically, with leads across Business Planning, Retail, Marketing and Logistics.
  • Track performance metrics and proactively analyse and assess business risks and opportunities to drive operational performance and customer experience to deliver against targets. Partner with Retail store leads to coach performance and achieve improvement in stores and managers where required.
  • Maintain best in class training materials that support the on-boarding of new managers, refresher training of existing managers and future workforce management product development.
  • Act as a recognised point of contact for schedule optimisation and establish a track record of clear communication and sound follow up with all stakeholders.
  • Support decision making and provide guidance for new business initiatives, marketing requests, and other investment decisions; partner with leadership to develop related ROI analyses.
  • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across teams to promote teamwork, including sharing best practices across divisions and countries.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in using a workforce planning and scheduling tool, with an advantage if used across multiple regions / countries.
  • Good communication and presentation skills (oral, written, and formal) with the ability to develop relationships with varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment; detail oriented with strong organisation and problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated/pro-active, follow through with responsibilities and be accountable for results.
  • Competency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
