Merchants (restaurants) form the backbone of our business, and supporting restaurants is one of the key reasons we exist. From multinationals to mom-and-pop shops, they produce the delicious food that we deliver to our consumers every day, and Taiwan’s restaurant ecosystem and vibrant food culture are why Uber Eats in Taiwan has grown to be one of our top 4 most successful markets globally.

The Merchant team reports directly to the General Manager of Uber Eats Taiwan and covers strategy, sales, account management, and operations.

About the Role:

Uber Eats Taiwan's Merchant team seeks a Merchant Analytics Manager (Merchant-facing) adept in leveraging robust data structures and tools to provide impactful insights and support account managers with consultative selling insights and recommendations.

Data serves as the lifeblood of our strategic endeavors, facilitating deep dives into opportunities, organizational governance, and team performance enhancements. Given our team's size of over 250 professionals, a strong analytics function is indispensable in providing real-time intelligence, strategic insights, and analytical support to empower account managers in driving successful merchant relationships.

Your Impact in Role:

  • Conduct in-depth and insightful data analyzes to derive actionable business strategies and opportunities for growth.
  • Design, create, and effectively manage data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in vital business areas, aiming for maximum impact and market leadership.
  • Automate and optimize critical workflows, liberating time for our local teams to focus on strategic business goals and exceptional client service.
  • Work in various area such as segmentation, retention, engagement, promo spend efficiency, membership and pricing strategy

The Experience You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a similar role
  • Solution-oriented mindset, focusing on achieving 80% of results with 20% effort.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive experience and passion for data analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel/ Google Sheet is a requirement.
  • Ability to convey findings in a suitable format for decision-making at various levels.
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, deriving meaningful insights and implications beyond the obvious.
  • Proficient in managing stakeholders effectively, integrating and collaborating with different teams and leaders.
  • Capability to streamline disparate data sources and reporting cadences to ensure effective governance.
  • Advanced English proficiency for effective communication and influence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large consumer internet companies, especially in e-commerce or online marketplaces, is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Data Studio, Python, Tableau and Data Visualization is a plus.
