Responsibilities
The Licensing Librarian is a 100% full-time position that reports to the Library’s Scholarly Communication Officer, and is situated within the Office of Scholarly Communication Services (OSCS). In helping to shape and improve access to electronic resources for the UC Berkeley campus, the Licensing Librarian also works closely with campus counsel, the Head of the Collection Services Division, AUL for Scholarly Resources, Head of Acquisitions, Electronic Resources Unit staff, the Library IT Systems and Discovery Librarian, and subject liaison and selector librarians.

Librarian advancement is partially based upon professional contributions beyond the primary assignment; the successful candidate will show promise or evidence of such contributions to the Library, campus, UC system, and profession.
About The Library
UC professional librarians are academic appointees and are represented by an exclusive bargaining agent, University Council - American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT). This position is in the bargaining unit.
