Shangri-La The Fort, Manila

Shangri-La The Fort, Manila is located within Fort Bonifacio, a former military base and city centre. With 60 storeys high, the complex is comprised of 576 hotel guestrooms and, 97 hotel residences and 98 exclusive Horizon Homes, the high rise building is a Manila landmark. The new hotel complements the company’s five existing properties in the Philippines.

The mixed-use business, residential and retail tower is located along 5th Avenue and 30th Street, within the new, fast-developing Taguig business district. It is a 30-minute drive from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and is also close to the Manila Golf Club and Manila Polo Club, 10 minutes from Makati district, the capital’s financial, cultural and entertainment hub with first-class shopping malls.

Duties:

The Director of Marketing Communications plans, directs, controls, coordinates and participates in all communication activities with an emphasis on brand building and identity, reputation management, digital communications through content management, and public affairs.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Sales and Marketing and within the limits of established hotel policies and procedures, he/she promotes quality, innovative and effective communications in order to enhance the image and raise the standards of the property and its various components. In addition, he/she enhances the awareness of our brand as one of the world’s finest hotel groups amongst target audiences as defined in the hotel’s and group’s strategic marketing and communications plan.

Requirements:

  • Preferably a college graduate with a degree in Mass Communications or in the same capacity
  • Preferably with at least 5 years of experience in Communications/Marketing fields
  • Preferably excellent in oral and written communication skills
  • Preferably excellent Public and Media Relations
  • Preferably well-versed in Digital Marketing
  • Preferably with strong leadership skills
  • Well-travelled
  • Self-starter
  • Team player
  • Positive role model
  • With legal rights to work in the Philippines: Filipino nationals & Philippine Permanent Residents
