The position requires a visionary guide with a strong desire to set the direction that our front-end technology, architecture, and NI design system heads in.

Applying a creative mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving, and a willingness to propose innovative ideas, you will thrive in this role by influencing how the broader NI community develops and uses the technical solutions you provide to achieve their own customer experience goals.

As the technical captain of a crew of developers, you will play a crucial role in product design discussions, feature development, and code reviews, working closely with multiple scrum teams, the user experience team, QA, PLM, and other product development groups.

As a leader, you are also accountable for mentoring team members, communicating progress upwards and across the organization, managing timelines, and cooperating with other departments to align development goals with business objectives.

  • Passionate and up-to-date with front-end emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence larger organizational outcomes and push teams toward success.
  • Experienced in building a team that respects and supports one another; coaching and mentoring team members, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Accountable for code quality and application optimization. Review and provide feedback on code and design.
  • Excellent communication skills, managing technical communication, project status and challenges up, down, and around.

  • Highly proficient with JavaScript frameworks and a solid technical comprehension of REACT, HTML5, CSS, NodeJS and modern web design principles.
