Canada (Hybrid)
As the Frontend Development captain, you will manage the GUI development team developing responsive web design, user-friendly web applications, modules, components, and infrastructure used primarily in Nokia’s NSP Product and re-used across the Network Infrastructure business unit. The position requires a visionary guide with a strong desire to set the direction that our front-end technology, architecture, and NI design system heads in.
Your exceptional technical and management skills will help the team identify the latest web technologies, frameworks, and tools, guiding the team with architectural, system design and coding decisions.
You will drive the direction and process followed for all NSP front-end work, respecting modern development practices, and using best-in-breed tools to achieve optimal user experience, high development velocity and exceptional product quality.
Applying a creative mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving, and a willingness to propose innovative ideas, you will thrive in this role by influencing how the broader NI community develops and uses the technical solutions you provide to achieve their own customer experience goals.
As the technical captain of a crew of developers, you will play a crucial role in product design discussions, feature development, and code reviews, working closely with multiple scrum teams, the user experience team, QA, PLM, and other product development groups.
As a leader, you are also accountable for mentoring team members, communicating progress upwards and across the organization, managing timelines, and cooperating with other departments to align development goals with business objectives.
