The opportunity
Our internal Finance team is looking for a Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for checking the quality of the books and supporting the year-end closing process. In addition, you will join a young and dynamic team, genuinely passionate about its work, within a leading global professional services firm.
Your key responsibilities
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
- Document financial transactions for several legal entities
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Support external statutory and fiscal audits
- Guide accounting staff by coordinating activities, providing training, and answering questions
- Develop procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and standardize and/or simplify processes
To qualify for the role you must have
- You hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting
- You have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in accounting with strong knowledge of BE GAAP and year-end closing
- You are fluent in French or Dutch and English as you will be communicating with our shared service center abroad
- Throughout your career you already gained experience in working with financial software and Excel
- You have are passionate about finance
- You are able to adapt quickly to changes and can handle multiple priorities concurrently
- You are analytical, accurate and have strong data-gathering skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong interpersonal skills, which makes you an great communicator
- Experience working in a multinational company with people scattered all over the world
