What You Will Be Doing:

• Consult with one or more internal stakeholders, such as marketing, engineering, and product database support, along with customer experience advocates.
• Assist in the development of business requirements (process), information requirements (data), and constraint requirements (rules).
• Conduct feasibility studies and identify business benefits.
• Implement, deploy, maintain, and upgrade solutions that use .NET and can integrate with existing Steelcase Enterprise Technology Standards or emerging technologies.
• Provide programming support and optimization for application modules within Steelcase Enterprise Technology Standards or emerging technologies.
• Contribute toward/enabling client organization’s continuous improvement efforts by providing ‘Run the business’ IT technology support and enhancements.
• Web application architecture, design, and development.
• Web API development and management.
• Database design & implementation in web-based applications.

Your Future Team:

You will be part of a Global Agile team with members in Cluj-Napoca, Grand Rapids, and Kuala Lumpur, that builds and manages our product data systems, including our internal Master Data Management (MDM) solution. This team of developers builds and supports custom applications related to product data. In addition to MDM, about 20 applications are supported, almost all of them .NET based.

Who You Are:

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Relevant experience in .NET / C# development.
• Experience with SQL database systems.
• Understanding of common design patterns and engineering practices.
• Ability to work independently, adapt, and learn new technologies.
• Passion and initiative for continuous learning.
• Professional business English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Skills and Competencies: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Cloud platform experience: Azure (ecosystem, components, Key Vault, Blob Storage, etc.).
• Any of the following experiences is a plus: JavaScript, Python, APIs.
• Previous exposure to an ERP Environment or ABAP is also an advantage.
• DevOps principles and practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
