Your Role and Responsibilities

Business Automation Specialists help customers reduce error prone manual work. This involves understanding business processes, the repositories in which business documents are stored, and current technologies for automating that workflow.

This role achieves this by prospecting for new opportunities by engaging customers in provocative conversations about their current and future business challenges and opportunities. The technical specialist then designs and demonstrates potential solutions explaining the value of partnering with IBM. Then the technical specialist supports their sales counterparts in sizing, pricing, and negotiating transactions with customers.”

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience designing complex, multiple product solutions, for large organizations.
  • Familiarity with Business process modeling, Enterprise Content Management, and/or Robotic Process Automation
  • Comfort presenting in front of a wide audience and explaining concepts from high level overview to deep technical details.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Previous experience in a quota carrying technical sales or sales engineering role
  • Experience with IBM Filenet, Workflow Automation, and RPA tools
