Position Summary

Supports the transportation and warehouse departments with a variety of clerical functions as well as material movements. Moves and stores materials/products using a combination of manual labor and low complexity machinery/equipment (e.g., forklifts and conveyors).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Ship and put together all shipping outbound paperwork
  • Send inbound container empty emails
  • Send out customer surveys to 10 customers a week and track on Excel and SharePoint
  • Send out quality feedback sheets to USV and Tire Hub locations and track in Excel
  • Perform end of day for UPS and FedEx shipments
  • Process Will Calls
  • Submit Proof of Delivery requests
  • Communicate to customers tire delivery information
  • Process outbound paperwork for customer, export and DC to DC transfers
  • Maintain log for inbound containers
  • Process and file inbound paperwork for warehouse
  • Verify completeness of inbound shipments
  • Coordinate inbound discrepancies with Inventory Department
  • Close inbound containers
  • Process LTL shipments and communicate to warehouse
  • Create FEDEX shipments and communicate to warehouse
  • Provide driver bags with Bill of Ladin and Runsheet to dedicated service
  • Assign seals to each outbound shipment and provide to warehouse
  • Match outbound paperwork and loading service tallies for shipping accuracy
  • Perform daily outbound balancing
  • Provide Bill of Ladin to security for outside carrier pickups
  • Check-in and communicate with live load and live unload drivers
  • Process Return Goods Authorizations (RGA’s)
  • Process T-Transactions (customer claims for overages and shortages)
  • Track containers and notify carriers daily of empty status
  • Submit stop clocks to shipping lines for detention charges
  • Manage US Bank accounts and approve or deny charges
  • Process UPS call tags for return shipments
  • Handling and maintaining flow of materials and products according to established guidelines
  • Logging the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products
  • Operating motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires a high school diploma
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • SAP and High Jump experience a plus
  • Prefer 6 months experience on forklift and stand up reach truck or must be willing to train
  • Prefer at least 1 year working in a fast paced warehouse or distribution center environment
