Team Description & Purpose of Role:

Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) facilitate prompt, accurate quoting and ordering of managed network and managed security services, including DDoS mitigation, SD-WAN, managed firewall, Secure Remote Access, Secure Connect (SASE), and MDR. TSS are extensions of account teams, working closely with Sales, the Solutions team, and directly with customers to obtain information required for accurate quoting and ordering.

Main responsibilities:

  • Engage with account teams and customers to collect all information required to accurately quote and order managed network and managed security services.
  • Work closely with Pre-sales Support Specialists and the Complex Bids team to facilitate timely, accurate quoting.
  • Work closely with Order Assurance to facilitate accurate order creation.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of GTT products and configurations with respect to pricing and order designs
  • Understand the cost base of GTT’s products and services

Requirements:

Essential:

  • 5+ years of telecommunications and/or IT industry experience
  • Technical understanding of data networking architectures, standards, protocols, and equipment
  • Technical understanding of network security
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of Applications, especially Microsoft Excel

Desirable:

  • Relevant vendor certifications from Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMWare, and/or Aruba
