Contract: 12-month fixed term

Location: Edinburgh (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home)

Expected starting salary: £35,120 - £43,900

The Job

This role supports the Brand and Digital Content Manager to deliver our brand communications, content campaigns and consultancy on initiatives and projects. The team look after brand management, content marketing and social media. You’ll manage elements of our UK brand – developing guidelines, rolling out updates and working with external agencies and internal stakeholders to improve creative quality – while adhering to governance and risk requirements. You’ll also deliver content marketing activity across a range of digital channels such as email and social media – with a focus on maximising process efficiency and engagement effectiveness. You’ll test, measure, evaluate and track success – staying customer centric for advisers, employers and customer groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage brand content activity and projects within set timelines and budgets. This includes overseeing strategy and delivery of our email newsletters. Ensure communications comply with group risk policies, business risk controls, and regulatory requirements. Analyse campaign results, report to stakeholders, and provide optimisation recommendations for future activities.
  • Responsible for end-to-end content production. From initial research, briefing, creation, publishing, and measurement. Monitor content metrics, conduct A/B testing, and analyse analytics data.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing teams for various brand initiatives. Collaborate with internal and external resources, including agencies providing expert counsel as required.
  • Plan our editorial content, supporting the wider brand team. Develop proposals using analytics, search demand, and customer needs in collaboration with PR, Digital Operations and Channel Comms teams. Advise the business on opportunities. Ensure timely and budgeted delivery, contributing to Marketing monthly and quarterly plans. Utilise customer insight and research to effectively target marketing communications.
  • Develop, maintain, and update our UK brand guidelines. Conduct annual reviews engaging key stakeholders to reflect industry trends, Group changes, and new business requirements.
  • Serve as a brand consultant and final approver, ensuring output aligns with our brand quality standards and compliance requirements. Engage with senior stakeholders to balance commercial pressures with brand integrity, escalating issues as needed. Manage our UK logo and legal trademark processes.
  • Assist in managing our social media channels and community. Implement the social media strategy compliantly to safeguard our business reputation and streamline content distribution. Handle any customer contacts efficiently and empathetically. Draft business continuity communications as needed.
  • Manage agency relationships to ensure correct use of our brand guidelines and tone of voice (TOV), including providing training and support. Oversee day-to-day management of assigned team budgets covering brand, social, content, and events.

  • Hands on brand management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder influence
  • Capability to project manage initiatives and campaigns
  • Marketing agency management experience, especially for creative and content
  • Digital marketing expertise, especially in content, social, analytics and SEO
  • The ability to write and optimise copy across a range of channels (social, web, email)
  • Experience in content distribution, measurement, and optimisation

Desirable but not essential:

  • Creative brand and content development in regulated industries
  • B2B and B2C experience
  • Financial services experience advantageous but not essential
