Department Information

Division of Information Technology Services

Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support the Division of Information Technology Services as a Student Field Technician on the Statesboro Campus beginning Summer 2024.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and install lab and faculty/staff computers
  • Decommission end-of-life devices
  • Collaborate with team on Support Automation projects Install software and hardware accessories
  • Manage asset inventory
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Troubleshoot Tier 1 issues
  • Provide technical assistance and training to faculty and staff for software and hardware issues
  • Assist with AV installs and maintenance

Shift Specifics

  • Up to 25 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability
  • Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

$10.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
