Business Finance Analyst

As a Business Financial Analyst, you will provide accounting, financial and internal controls expertise to the Electrification Installation Products “ELIP” in Caribe, PR - benchmarking KPIs while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance and identifying trends relevant to the business. Reporting to the Senior Business Controller, you will engage in multiple general accounting activities as well as study business performance to forecast impacts and risks and recommend areas for continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities

• In charge of all aspects of cash, intercompany, local taxes / insurance compliance, and payroll accounting, as well as other general accounting matters
• Engage with plant management to create robust financial forecasts of productivity, labor, and overtime with focus on high accuracy scenarios
• Consult and mentor staff members on all aspects of financials with emphasis on overall plant profitability
• Analyze productivity and efficiency metrics and promote initiatives for improvement
• Create and maintain budget for all plant related cost centers, ultimately providing grounds for standard cost roll-up process
• Support and drive both variable and fixed overhead cost reduction projects
• Support Plant's compliance with Sarbanes Oxley [SOX], US GAAP and all ABB policies. Taking the lead as needed and driving sustainable alignment with Accounting Policy and Internal Controls
• Provide internal and external audit support as needed

Your background

• 8+ years of experience in general accounting and/or financial analysis role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or MBA a plus
• Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP, Oracle, Power BI, KBM or related financial systems
• Must have advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly with Excel and Power Point
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
• Candidate must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
