Molex is looking for an experienced Indirect Sourcing Supervisor to join our Global Indirect Sourcing team. As a part of this role, Supervisor will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of Indirect Sourcing strategies and execution ensuring alignment with the CCS strategic requirements and goals. To promote cross-functional collaboration and foster a culture of innovation providing value to the business, and a pioneer in setting up a committed Indirect Sourcing team in Malaysia.

This role will report to Regional Sourcing Center Manager and supervises Molex Penang Indirect Sourcing Team

  • All Indirect procurement in Malaysia including New Product Development support.
  • Execute Global KPI metrics

What You Will Do

1. Lead Indirect Sourcing process working with the internal stakeholders to meet CCS business goals

2. Drive cost reduction objectives with the responsibility to deliver annual cost savings goal

3. Responsible for team performance, leading and coaching Indirect Sourcing team effectively, ensuring they are customer focused, process oriented and contribution motivated

4. Review and Negotiate supplier agreements, encouraging compliance by both supplier and end-users

5. Initiate ideas and actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing activities

6. Drive efforts to achieve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the complete supply chain solution

7. Conduct cost and market analysis to benchmark current and potential suppliers

8. Analyze industry trend and evolving technology to proactively identify supply issue in minimizing risk, ensuring Business continuity plan (BCP) and exploring emerging opportunities

9. Drive and manage suppliers overall performance, conduct periodic performance review with vendors

10. 1Collaborate with Global/Regional Category Management team in cost savings initiatives. Drive Auction activities for saving opportunities

11. Driving VAVE initiatives, process optimization, and vendor consolidation

12. Comply to purchasing/sourcing procedures, SOP, ISO procedures and other requirements from time to time

13. Support company's initiatives on CSR, TQM, Six Sigma, Kaizen/ Lean, etc

14. Assist Indirect Sourcing Center Manager as and when needed on any reports or assignments/ projects given

15. Promoting PBM (Principle Based Management) culture and Molex branding in the long run

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • 10+ years experience in supply chain, with 5+ years experience in Indirect Sourcing
  • Procurement expertise in categories: Machinery, MRO, Facilities, and Outside Services

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills, and excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with and entrepreneurial attitude
  • Strong Computer skills – such as Coupa, Ariba and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Process knowledge and costing awareness, of machinery and spare parts related to molding, stamping, plating, tooling, and assembly.
