WHAT YOU’LL DO

Duck Creek’s products are designed for cloud native true SaaS architecture and have a complex architecture that spans multiple layers of code and functionality. All products are deployed on Azure cloud platform and use several Azure cloud services. We do complete end-to-end automated testing and also automate the end-to-end build to production deployment CI/CD processes. We are building a future forward Duck Creek platform that will serve as the foundation for all the products and will provide multiple services that other products will use. The platform will include infrastructure, data, and various other services that will be required by all the products. 

Joining our team means diving into the heart of technological advancement. You will play a pivotal role in developing the CI/CD and cloud configuration platform that drives Duck Creek's entire product lineup. Your focus will revolve around enhancing the Duck Creek platform, crafting cloud-native components and microservices to streamline provisioning and deployment of product applications. 

You will be utilizing a diverse range of technologies. From designing Terraform modules to automate cloud provisioning to implementing CI/CD automation and post-production monitoring, your expertise will shape the future of insurance technology.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

• Supports the SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configures and maintains database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Refines and automates regular processes, tracks issues, and documents changes
• Provides 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and support release patching deployment activities after hours.
• Performs other related duties and activities as required
• Bachelor’s degree in higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering/computer field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Database Administrator with experience in Azure Environments
• 1+ years of experience within Azure and SQL server Database version 2016 preferred.
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• This role is expected to work in shifts (No Night Shift)
