Provides independent and collaborative primary healthcare and management of care to women before, during, and after pregnancy, including care of the newborn, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Required Education:
Graduate of a Program in Discipline is required.
Graduation from an education program for Midwives approved by the NC State Board of Medical Examiners and/or NC Board of Nursing
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
BLS required within 30 days of hire
ACLS required within 60 days of hire
PALS required within 60 days of hire
NRP, CNOR required within 30 days of hire
Required License/Certifications:
Advance Practice Registed Nurse or Nurse Practitioner license
